Bonten Media Group owns WCYB and has a Local Marketing Agreement with WEMT, which gives it control of ad sales and a percentage of advertising revenue from that station. Local Marketing Agreements often result in one station providing local news for another, an arrangement that harms competition and reduces editorial independence.
